I have a large collection of WMA files - about 20 gigs (they all are from Napster) and I can successfully listen to them on my home PC.
Now I bought a car mp3 player so I need to burn my music collection to MP3 disks to listen to in a car. And, of course, I cannot do it because files have Napster protection. I've done a quick internet search and found many progs that claim to convert Napster wma to mp3. I've tested some of them, because if I pay for the soft to use MY purchased music - I want to know if it worth the price. I think this is what I need. wma to mp3 (http://drm-removal.com/features/WMAtoMP3/convert_WMA_to_MP3.htm) (drm-removal.com or whatever, ask me - will find it again) What do you think?
Would you folks advise me another soft?

Annette, I don't know if other forum members know the legalities of converting Napster files you've bought to other formats. Also, if you request such information, you should ask for responses in private so the information for this subject is kept in confidence.

My personal opinion is if you bought it, you own it and you can do anything you want to do with it. Copyright law in the US says that you can't make a profit off it if you are not the copyright owner. So, as long as you don't sell it you're okay. You can give it away after you've bought it and you can get away with that. Why? Because you paid for it and you can give it away and not have a profit on it. Hope this helps.
